To make custom "gamma" or tone response curves available in MonacoOPTIX Pro or MonacoPROFILER 4.7 and later must create a specially formatted text file.. This text file is simply a list of points along the desired curve, ranging from 0 to 1. The pairs of values must be separated by a comma and only one pair per line is permitted.

For example:

0.00, 0.00
0.10, 0.01
0.20, 0.04
0.30, 0.09
0.40, 0.16
0.50, 0.25
0.60, 0.36
0.70, 0.49
0.80, 0.64
0.90, 0.81
1.00, 1.00

Each file must begin with 0,0 and end with 1,1. Using at least five points in the list is recommended.

To appear as a choice in the list, the file must be saved in the proper folder. For MacOS it would be:

/Library/Application Support/Monaco/MonacoOPTIX/Gamma Curves
or
/Library/Application Support/X-Rite/MonacoPROFILER/Gamma Curves

For Windows it would be:

C:\Program Files\Monaco Systems\MonacoOPTIX 2.0\Preferences\Gamma Curves
or
C:\Program Files\X-Rite\MonacoPROFILER 4.8\Preferences\Gamma Curves.
