It is possible to manually enter L*a*b* values into ColorShop X. To do so, proceed as follows:

• Launch ColorShop X. 
• Open the "Color Scratchpad" utility.
• Press and hold the Shift key and then simultaneously press the + key.

 A window will open (as shown below) where you can manually enter L*a*b* values.  When you click on the "OK" button, the data will be posted to the Color Scratchpad palette.
