Konica specifies a unique DB15p interface adaptor. As of this writing, it is believed that all Konica photoprinters use this same interface. Data protocol is described in the back of the X-Rite 880-500 manual as Konica I/O #1. Below are the mode settings required in the X-Rite 310 to achieve the same results.
03 Auto print on 04 Auto time off 11 Technet enabled; CTS handshake 13 1200 baud 15 Advanced Technet mode (needs status filter info) 19 Shortened printer format (no channel information) 21 All fields on one line separated by spaces as shown... rxxx<sp>gxxx<sp>bxxx<sp><cr><lf>
Also note that the Konica printer expects RGB (three channel) data. User must select the proper filter set and manually activate all three of the color channels. This done by pressing the red, green, and blue channel keys at the same time. |
