+Printer CompatibilityOne of the main things to consider when looking at compatibility between ColorMunki and your printer is the ability to print with color management turned off directly through the print driver. This is a necessity as the software will put the two test charts generated through a rasterizing process to allow the device to get a clear idea of the printers gamut when reading the patches. For most printers this is not an issue however it is certainly something to keep in mind.
This also means that ColorMunki will only work on a network printer that prints directly on a users work station. In order to print to a third party application or for sending these images to a lab you will need to move into one of our i1 product line with printer profiling capabilities.
It has been brought to our attention that certain print drivers may not have full features to allow a user to shut off color management when running in Leopard environment.
